Soft Drinks

Up

A soft drink is made by using a concentrated flavour kit and adding water to make up the volume to 23 litres.  A sterilised 25 litre brew barrel is sufficient to mix the 'brew'.  A measured dose of sugar is then added to the 'brew' and it is bottled straight away.  We find plastic P.E.T. bottles the best for soft drinks as the light will not effect the drink, however stubbies can also be used.  The sugar is merely used to carbonate the bottle and the bottles must be stored in a warm area for at least 3 weeks to produce the bubbles.

We stock the following range of soft drink mixes:-

Beermakers ginger beer $20.50 - a mild ginger flavour with artificial sweeteners.

Coopers ginger beer $13.50 - a traditional sweet ginger flavour.

Colony West ginger beer $16.50 - a spicy hot ginger flavour with the natural sweetener of lactose.

Colony West lemonade $16.50 - a traditional lemonade with the natural sweetener of lactose.

Morgans ginger beer $16.50 - a traditional sweet ginger flavour.

It is worth bearing in mind that you can always add more ginger to the ginger beer or the zest of a lemon to the lemonade to give it your own personal touch.
