Wash. Using the Alcotec 8 yeast and 9Kg dextrose.
We want to demonstrate to you the rate of ferment with this wash.
We will be taking regular hydrometer readings and will produce a graph from our
data, so keep an eye out here.
S.G. 1150 22.5 litres, this is about 400g/l of sugar and this will produce about
21.5% alcohol by volume.
We will flavour this with our range of liqueurs later.
So here is what happened with daily morning hydrometer
readings. We kept the brew at a constant temperature of 22 - 24°C.
You can see that the ferment starts off slowly, took
off after day 3 and slowed down after day 10.
