See you Tuesday for a chat about the Show and a chance to taste a couple of Gold Medal wines Cheers, John ***** Good Evening Wine Makers It has been decided that the Christmas dinner this year will be at Brookfield at Margate on Friday 11 December. the cost is $40 per person The menu is:- Appertiser Ashbolt Olive Oil w Balsamic reduction & house made ciabatta rolls With ruby lips cherries. Quail tart smothered in a strawberry sauce Followed by Venison on a wild rocket. beetroot & pumpkin salad & a loganberry sauce Green Tea Sorbet, (pallet cleanser) Main Apricot Chicken roulard & honey carrots, parsnip and beans Elderberry cheesecake, garnished with fruit. It would be appriciated if members, both proffessional and enthuiasts would donate wines to go with these courses. Please respond to Bob Hardy with your acceptances by 4 December if you would like to go and also advise him of offers of wine to go with the menu. vineyard, a small vineyard at Then to Gordon and Jane's place, 3 Kadina Close, Allens Rivulet for lunch at about 1pm. Jane will provide a roast lunch we are to bring a salad or sweet to share. If you have not responded please let me know if you are coming. A few other dates for you diaries Tuesday 1st October meet Bellerive topic for discussion will be organic acids. We will not meet on the first Tuesday (there is enough happening that day already). We are trying to organize an outing later in that week and hopefully will know by the 23rd.
